we gots a bisitor at ars house.
mommees says she is a Golden Silk Spider (nephila clavipes). the spider is a she cuz she is big. the boy spiders only get to be a haf inch big. she is only suppose to be about 3 inches long but mommees says she is closer to 4 or 5 inches if she was streched out wif her long legs.
we fink her sisfer bisited us befores (2 years or a haf a squillion naps ago) and told her we had good eats here. hers web goes frum the eev of ars house (ranch style) to the gate (4' high gate) ans across the top of the gate to make a try-angle. it is fery, fery big.
sometimes beans calls them banana spiders becuz of thars yellow body. they is not real banana spiders cuz thems is dangerus. mommees says they gots thars name frum the color of the thread in thar web when the sunshines thru it.
pee ess: mommees is doing good. she gots to go see the bean vet today fer her chekup. she says "thank yus" fer purrayin fer hers. she says she has gots more pikshures of us since she has got to stay home and cuddles wif us.

  1. I don't think the Woman survived seeing your post, she certainly made a face and looked the other way. I don't know why, she looks like a pretty spider who isn't interested in hurting anyone.

  4. My mom likes the spiders we have outside because they are usually very pretty. We've got some little speckly ones in the garage but she's never been able to get a picture of them. The plain ones that are in the house Caroline eats.

  5. I am glad that your Mom is feeling better. The spider is beautiful. We don't have any spiders that big around here. I hope the spider doesn't mind being moved too much.
