tonights update: yuki is resting comfortably at home. i am still keeping her seperate from kimiko. this way she has a chance to eat some of her food. so far she has not eaten but has drank some water. she has peed again in her litter box. she did lick maybe three dabs of baby food off of my finger. otherwise she just sleeps.
the doc showed me the xrays he took of her. they showed some joint disease and a possible crystal or kidney stone (really really tiny). nothing else. he said what he saw is to be expected for a cat who will be turning 14 in april. so now we have to wait for the results of the blood work. he said i could call about mid morning. so i told him i would try to call about 10am. he said that would be fine. he said with her symptons and the xrays showing nothing unusual he suspected either hyperthroidism or kidney disease. i vote for neither. but my vote doesn't count it seems.
meanwhile i am trying to keep yuki comfortable. she seems to be happiest when she is sleepling on the soft, warm pallet i made for her. i will keep trying to offer her some food and water. maybe she will take some soon. please keep praying for her. thanks and take care.
