Kazoku Neko means "family cat" in Japanese. Most of my cats have had Japanese names. Our family members include: Kintaro, (male) his name means "big golden" and TT, (female) her initials stand for Triple Trouble. We have doggies too! Brownie, our adopted stray; Big Boy, one of her pups; and Penny, our failed foster.

kimiko
Kimiko is one of five kittens I found in the dumpster at work. We wondered why a cat was hanging around the dumpster and that's when we found the kittens. I climbed in and retrieved all her babies but could not catch momma cat. All of the kittens came home with me (my husband rolled his eyes) and we kept them for about three weeks to accustom them to people and get them cleaned up and litter box trained. Kimiko stayed. She is VERY vocal about her needs. when she wants to be held, which is every evening when I walk in the house, she will meow loudly at my feet until I hold her like a infant in my arms and sway with her. She curls up and purrs with much happiness and contentment. -Shirley
