look what mom found! she saw the baby fevvers in the road next to her bank. the mama bird was trying to get the baby to move. mom thinks that the bad storms the night before knocked the baby out of her nest. she stopped her machine and picked up the baby. then she called the PETCO to see if they knew of anyone that did bird rescue. the girl said she didn't know but her manager might. since mom had to do a stinky goodness run anyway, she headed to PETCO. right after she walked into the store one of the associates walked up and said she would take care of the bird. we found out she does rescue work. mom was so relieved. we are a little disappointed that we didn't get a special fevvered treat. to make up for it, mom bought us some freeze dried chicken breast pieces. they are so delicious!
I am glad that your human gave you treats so you did not feel so cheated!
ReplyDeleteWow, that was nice of your mom to save that poor birdie and for the nice lady at Petco to take care of him. We hope he will be okay. And at least you got some chicken out of all of it!!
ReplyDeletethe poor little thing was hot from being on the pavement and couldn't fly yet. i was worried (and surprised) that no one had run over the little one. there are so many bushes and trees around my bank i would never had been able to find the nest. taking the baby home was not an option as kintaro thinks anything with feathers needs his pouncing and killing skills.
