thankful thursday

we are thankful that brownie came to live with us. she is learning that this is her yard to keep watch over. she has her own warm, dry dog house and plenty of food for her tummy. she gave us a big surprise when she had 6 little puppies.

we thankful that 5 of the puppies lived. they got plenty of good milk from their mommy. see how much they have grown in 2 weeks.

now the puppies are 4 weeks old. they have gotten even bigger.

here are the 4 boys. one of the two black puppies is now tan & black (markings are like a german shepard). the smaller black pup has a white blaze on his chest. the dark brown pup has lightened up and looks like a dirty, muddy brown. the tan colored pup looks a lot like a yellow lab and is the biggest of the 4 boys.

the little girl is always moving. all we could get is a side shot of her sitting still. she is the lightest colored and is the same size as the smallest boy puppy. it was her twin sister that died. she is always the first one out of the doghouse to see what is going on.

  5. I am so glad that you gave the mommy dog a safe home to have her puppies in. They are all adorable. I am really sorry that one died. Thank you so much for your encouragement with Herman. I know that I am doing the best that can be done for him, but I can't help worrying a bit. If worst comes to worst and he leaves me soon, I will know that I did the best that could be done for him. I really do believe that things will get better, though.
