oh how empty is this place
for we are missing your sweet smiling face
you only came to visit, not to stay
your flight home could not be delayed
with broken hearts and tears of sorrow
we were left with no hope for tomorrow
finally, we take the time to look around
and we see His comforting touch abound
in the flowers, the sun, the breeze
it is then upon our knees
we feel His love with gentle hands
that someday soon will guide us to a land
and you will be standing there
full of life, love and cheer
o joyous times there will be
reunited you & me
little miss sprout,
this poem is the best i could do. it broke my heart that you could not have stayed longer on this earth with all of us. i wanted to watch you grow just as i watched my own daughter grow up.
