sandy is at the rainbow bridge

my dad sorta rescued Sandy. he was at the gas station and someone had caught a kitten that had been "dropped off". he took one look at the poor little kitten and took him home. he became a playmate for their other rescue kitty named Meme.
Sandy, my parents' cat, had been having some tummy troubles but it cleared up after a couple of days. then he couldn't urinate and was lethargic. my dad took him to the vet and sandy stayed overnight. the vet found one of his kidneys was extremely enlarged and were failing. my parents went to visit sandy at the vets. unfortunately sandy did not respond to any of the treatments that the vet tried. my parents had to make the decision yesterday. Sandy will be greatly missed.
